@anton_chuvakin On the MDR side, a reality is that the definition is suitable for MSSPs that, as you say, detect actual threats. But it also ends up being the only Gartner-y bucket that remains for companies solving difficult security operations problems for customers. Need more buckets :)

@anton_chuvakin In reality, what we probably (read: definitely) have are a number of MSSPs who have the resources to market themselves such that they meet the definition of MDR, usually by adding new data sources but without materially improving their process, technology or outcomes.
